My Real Estate career started in January of 2017. After 3 years in the business, I became the Owner & Broker of my own Real Estate Company, Austin Scott Realty! ASR launched in May of 2020, and I serve Auglaize, Allen, and Mercer County in Ohio! I specialize in helping people buy and sell houses!
As of 4/3/2023, I have assisted in 132 Real Estate transactions for a total of over $16 million sold! I'm a 3-time Ohio Association of Realtors $1 Million Presidents Sales Club Recipient (2018-2020), 4-time Wapakoneta Daily News 'Realtor of the Year' (2018-2020, 2022), Wapakoneta Daily News 'Brokerage of the Year' (2022) and the 2019 'Agent of the Year' for the previous company I worked for! My clients describe me as prepared, knowledgeable, passionate, and personable!
I love coaching basketball, and there's many facets of it I enjoy! Of course there's nothing more thrilling than being on the sidelines for a game, but I also enjoy training individual players to sharpen their basketball skills! I like to watch other players and teams play to learn more about the game! I'm a huge film and prep work junkie! And I enjoy helping student-athletes market themselves to collegiate coaches if they want to pursue a basketball career at the next level!
2022-23 was my first season as Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Wapakoneta High School Girls Basketball team! I loved every minute of it! I always had a passion for basketball and mentoring young people, and this was the perfect fit! It gave me the feeling that I finally found my purpose in life! I love using basketball as a tool to help student-athletes become the best versions of themselves and learn lessons & values that will help them in life after high school!
I also have experience in individual basketball training! I've worked with 1st graders on up to current college players! I also help market student-athletes through highlight videos they can use to share with interested collegiate coaches!
I provide a variety of services with this passion project! I do Radio and Television Broadcasting, PA Announcing, Videography & Editing, and Music! I've broadcasted basketball, volleyball, soccer, and harness racing. I've announced youth football, basketball, and calf scrambles. I've done video editing for sports highlight videos, auto racing, and weddings. I occasionally play guitar and sing as well!
My voice and video career began in 2010 when I started producing videos for local racer, Jerry Bowersock. During that time, I started a website design and videography business where I did multi-media marketing for race car drivers and athletes. I began doing highlight videos for athletes as well! From 2013 to 2016, I worked for the West Ohio Sports Network (WOSN TV-44) in Lima. I shot video and announced broadcasts of high school basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Since 2016, I've worked a variety of events as a PA Announcer including: youth football, basketball, baseball, and calf scrambles at the county fair. I've also participated in T-102's Country Star Playoffs and played guitar shows on Facebook.
I went to my first harness race in 2015 at the Auglaize County Fair in Wapakoneta, OH. From there, it became a yearly tradition, but in 2019 I took my interest to the next level! I reached out to local horsemen that could help me get behind-the-scenes and learn more about racing standardbreds. Since then, I've learned to groom them, jog them, train them, and more! I'm currently on the road to becoming an owner and trainer for my own horse!
Meanwhile, I created the Scott Trot brand to promote and market the sport of Harness Racing using Facebook and YouTube! I do pictures, videos, interviews, announcing, and handicapping to create interest and help fans learn more about the sport! I even started a Facebook Live Interview Segment called the "Paddock Party" where I sit down and interview popular figures in the harness racing community!
This is a picture of the first horse I ever jogged on March 17, 2020. Her name was Let Me Be Clear ("Clair")! In October of 2020, I started working as a groom, rider, and 2nd trainer for Darkhorse Syndicate Racing and trainer, Tim Ignarski! It's been a lot of fun, but most importantly, I gained an appreciation for how hard horses and horsepeople work to get to the race track!
On the media side of things, I've done a lot of promoting through my Scott Trot Facebook and YouTube page over the last year. I've also worked on the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association (OHHA) fair broadcasts since the summer of 2020 including Little Brown Jug week!
I fell in love with dirt car racing at an early age when I started going to the track when I was 8! I went a decade as a spectator when I decided I wanted to become a driver! So in August of 2015, my dad Lee and I started a dirt "Compact" team with a 1988 Honda Prelude! We raced across Ohio and Indiana at Waynesfield Raceway Park, Montpelier Motor Speedway, Gas City Speedway, Kokomo Speedway, Oakshade Raceway, Baer-Field Motorsports Park, and more!
In 48 career races, I had 5 Feature Wins, 11 Heat Wins, 1 Preliminary Win, 31 Top 5's, and 43 Top 10's!
